More warnings regarding potential Obamacare fraud

Although we posted on this issue before, this cannot be overstated - because Obamacare is so new and because there are serious issues with the websites and portals that are used to sign up for Obamacare, the potential for fraud is tremendous.

Please be VERY careful before giving out ANY personal information to third parties.

Fraud involving the National Guard

To the readers of this blog - I was extremely busy with a project and with travels and, as a result, unable to post.  However, I am back to posting.  A new topic will begin shortly.  In the meantime, we will post some links to fraud cases mainly involving Teas.

Obamacare and Fraud VII

This will be the final post on the initial issues with Obamacare.

As can be seen, there is really nothing new here.  Fraudsters use a variety of scams which have been around for many years and these scams are simply adapted to a new program.  The real issue with Obamacare, however, is that as of this writing, there are very few hard answers available.  This program is so large and so new that it seems everyone is getting in on the act.

The only answer is that only information from verifiable Federal Government sources is accurate.  Even if it means waiting for such an answer (especially now since, as of this writing, the Federal Government is shut down), it is worth waiting for such an answer.

Such is the reality of the world.

Obamacare and Fraud VI

One of the issues with Obamacare is the use of an official website to find state and federal exchanges which will be used to help implement these programs.

From the information provided by the Government, the only reliable portal to find official state and federal exchanges is HealthCare.gov.  Any other website is not an official website and no personal information should ever be transmitted over such websites.

This is nothing new.  The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) which handles all immigration to the United States has only one official website, but this does not stop fraudsters from setting up fake websites to get information from people.
