I watched a story about this man on American Greed last night. Most fascinating was what happened when US authorities caught up with him in Vienna. He was released on bail. His defense team came up with the innovative strategy of his going to Belgium, getting citizenship, and then being immune to extradition back to the USA. Mr. Weiss turned down this offer.
